Decided to try a boiler

Well, been burning wood as supplemental heat for a few years now with indoor wood stove and an insert. So I generally split wood for at least two wood stoves and use it to supplement our geothermal when temps drop below 30. Well I found someone local selling a wood boiler and thought I would give it a try. Going to use it to heat the 2400 sqft house and attached garage eventually. It’s a Heatmor 200 css

That's great, you'll love the unlimited hot water too (assuming you're hooking that up).

Plan on it. Our water heater already has a HX in it because our geothermal heats it as of now.

Good Luck on your venture into wood burning water heating,
First you don't have a boiler,boilers are a pressurized vessel.
You have a hydronic water heater.Big difference in both how they operate and how you maintain them.
Spend as much time as you can reading about heating with hot water before you go any further,ask lots of questions.
Then run your plans by the forum, people with experience will chim in to help.

Sorry for the improper terminology. Where I come from Darrell, his brother Darrell, and his other brother Darrell call all of them outdoor boilers! I plan on bouncing a few ideas off you guys tho. It’s good to have a community like this to utilize in situations like this!

Also known by nothing else than outdoor boiler around here too.

Actually 'boiler' implies boiling water and making steam - not likely anybody in here is doing that.

Don't be sorry,just a term that gets used but isn't accurate.
Using it may confuse someone that you are dealing with and end up talking about apples and oranges without knowing it.It doesn't take long for miscommunication to cost...
