Draft between rooms

The floor of the living room on the right is 2’ lower than the floor of the rest of the house on the left. I can feel the draft between rooms standing at the top of the steps, my head is warm and my feet are cold. I thought this was a cool shot demonstrating the amount of draft I can get going.

A 16" strip of toilet paper is good for showing the convective airflow too. This is especially apparent in a stairway door where the stove is on the lower floor or basement.
