Okay agreed I guess what I am asking is draft why my secondaries will die down? Also, how much more chimney pipe should I add then? Just buy one foot or get a three foot section. I was trying to avoid adding pipe cause I would have to install a brace kit which will be an eye sore on the house is there anyway around it?

Even with 20% wood I get it up to 600 and it will die within two hours needless to say I have used a lot of wood!

The usual recommendation is to buy cheap single wall and attach it, a 3 foot section should work temporarily and will give you an idea if it will work or not. Draft could have an effect on your secondaries if you have truly ruled out the wood, meaning you have tried bio-bricks or something similar and got the same results.

How bout I pick up a couple of those kiln dried packs at the store just to check will that be good?
