Hello all,

I purchased a durablack slip connector today to use as an adjustable horizontal section to connect to my wall thimble. when I put the slip connector together with a section of pipe it seems to have a loose fit.

Anyone ever use this type of slip connector? Will this tighten up when the screws are added?

thanks.

Is the section of pipe also DuraBlack?

It will be slightly loose, but should not be sloppy. Insert the pipe all the way to the ridge. The 3 screws per joint should keep it snug. How long will the horiz. run be? Will it have a 1/4" / ft rise toward the chimney?
