Hello!
Looking for some intel on a20 year old large Vermont Castings Dutchwest.
A few weeks ago I broke a bolt off that holds the inner side plate on necessitating dismantling most of the stove! Uuurgh!
I know I need gaskets on the front plate when I put it back together.
But I dont recall there being gaskets on the back panel
Anyone ever dismantle a dutchwest to this point?

Hey Toadman, are you in Andover NJ? I'm actually rebuilding a dutchwest in hopatcong and came across your thread. Were you able to get those broken bolts out? I broke 2 while disassembling that I have to work on this weekend.
The front definitely does get a gasket around the air manifold but mostly everything else gets furnace cement. I use Rutland caulk tubes, make sure it says "metal."
There's a good thread on rebuilding these if you never found it:
