Hello all,

Looking to see if anyone has upgraded from an Englander NC 30 to a Princess. We currently heat our 1600 sq ft ranch with no issues. However the longer burn time and better temp control during shoulder seasons is very appealing. Wondering what the wood consumption rate is between the two stoves as well. Interested to hear any input you folks have! Thanks!

I own and operate both at the same time. Very different machines but both very good at what they are designed to do.

I would absolutely not want to trade applications. The princess is a much better house stove for me.

Never had an Englander but I heat my 1800 sqft ranch with a princess. Works very well keeps keeps one end of house in the mid 70s and the back bedrooms in the high 60s. I usually load twice a day from December to February. Shoulder season is usually 16 hour loads. This is in N. Idaho with temps usually in the teens burning conifers.

I can get the 24-30 hour loads when the temps are in the 40s but by that time I'm normally switching back to propane because the house gets too hot.
