Englander NC30 burning too hot / too quick

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
I'd love to develop a system that opens the air automatically (slowly) 4-5 hrs after you shut it down. This would help reduce the coal buildup i find in the morning after slamming it full the night before.

Say hr 5 - opens 1/8th
hr 6 - additional 1/4
hr 7 - opens another 1/8th. Now it is half open...and on a NC30 thats basically all the way open.

I do work in automation...I'll run this past the engineering department.
