Hey I have a 1100 sq foot modular home and can't decide which of these stoves to get.

Any one know the actual burn times of these stoves? Not what's on the site but what you get?

Also is the enviro too big?
There's a 500$ price difference between the 2.

Is one better then the other?

Both are good stoves but I would consider getting the PE Super27 instead. You will get longer burn times and have better reserves for those really cold days. Most important, regardless of the stove, get your wood split and stacked now and buy seasoned if possible.

Where in BC exactly? May make a big difference in stove size to cope with winter temperatures.

What kind of foundation is the home on? Basement, crawl space, slab?

I heat 1155 square feet in a mild climate with a 1.6 cubic foot insert. I can tell you for sure that the enviro is not too big for the size of your house.

I got my firewood a few months ago. Just gotta build my wood shed.
I live on van isle and the home is on a concrete slab with a crawl space.

I'm thinking I'll go with the enviro Kodiak 1200

Good stove. That should keep you warm.

Insulate well on the walls of the crawl space if it isn't already done!

When I bought my Lopi, the Enviro Kodiak was the other insert I was looking at. Nice stoves and great reputation.

I have the Enviro 1200 Venice (just a different face). It keeps my gas furnace off in my 2,300sf house. We love the stove and would buy it again. Once you get it installed contact me there is a slight modification you may want to make.

I've been running an Enviro 1200 insert for a while. If I load it at night, I have embers in the morning. Nice stove. I would also look at the BK stoves...they seem to have much longer burn times.

I looked at bk they are more the double to cost. Almost 3000 for stove with no door or base. Plus you have to change catalysts and have to be much more vigilant on what you burn. Otherwise if you need 20 hr burn time they are great. I want around 8

you'll have coals for the next load in 8 hrs

Hey twalt- Great choice, you'll appreciate the ease of operation and burn cleanliness of the Kodiak. All of the stoves mentioned are great heaters, I do believe Enviro wood stoves are one of the better value stoves available. But again, Osburn or PE are great value stoves too. Good luck with her.
