EPA approved list

I was looking at the EPA approved list((broken link removed to http://www.epa.gov/burnwise/owhhlist.html)) and do not list any Tarms. I have a Solo 40 and am concerned because here in Fairbanks Alaska there is a big push to ban wood boilers. Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me. Thanks Doug

Just a question. Is your local juristiction trying to ban all wood burning or just the OWB portion?

Indoor wood stoves and outdoor woodboilers that are not EPA approved.

Of course they are because us wood burners put a few particles in the air just like the big oil companies that pump millions of pollutants in the air and spill millions of gallons of oil in the oceans and kill all kinds of wildlife.
But we are the bad guys. Maybe the EPA should ban oil rigs and processing plants. Oh wait they are in the pockets of EXXON and the likes.
OOHH I'm sorry I didnt mean to get all opinionated.

Don't worry a bit. The most efficient boiler manufacturers (Econoburn, Garn, BioMass, Eko, Tarm, etc.) are ignoring the EPA rating because the testing is bogus. Fact is these boilers exceed their standards but won't pay the bribe money to conform.
