Greetings fellow pellet heads. Haven't had time to post yet but I've read plenty. I will probably go for a test burn this weekend. I've had no need for heat yet, since my house is pretty tight and my better half is in her mid 50's and generates plenty of her own heat. Both stoves have been thoroughly cleaned (leaf blower, the works ) since the end of last season. I had 3 tons of Energex delivered from Tri-County in Carmel in May, and I picked up 2 tons of Presto Logs from Lowes in Poughkeepsie about a month ago. Including delivery the average cost was 246.00 per ton. Now that I have the proper trailer I will be able to avoid those pesky delivery charges. I was able to get all but about a Half ton stored indoors with the rest thoroughly wrapped out on my patio. I will try to use those first. The forecast for this winter has been all over the map, but I burned just shy of 4 1/2 tons last year so I feel I am prepared. Good luck and happy burning to all.

Greetings from a fellow NYer (actually, a former NYer). I moved over the border to CT a year and a half ago but grew up in Dutchess County.

Look forward to hearing how the PTLs burn. I burned some Energex and liked them. I've heard good things about Tri-County - did you like them? I might have to consider them next year - we have our pellets for the year (also delivered from Lowes in Poughkeepsie).

Happy burning :)

Hello from Ulster County, Presto logs have some good reviews. I have not burned them in over 8 years as I spoiled burning Set's.

next year will try to do a group buy of set's around June for anyone the lives close to Kingston NY

Best of luck an Happy Burning

What?! Somerset factory said there were no more pellets going to the area! Did you get some?

newbieinCT that is like in your back yard. Think you have your stash and not looking so hard LOL. All you CT members should be on the run to get some of them.

I only had 22 tons this year 23 has me beat. LOL

The service at TriCounty is good but the woman who owns it is bat chit crazy. Be careful where you park when you go there or she will turn you into a newt.

I'm trying to make it over there but don't know if I can. I already have 6 tons for this winter but wouldn't pass up more, if I can find room to store 'em!

How in the world did they get to Patterson? This is a dream come true :)
