Looks very nice what is it,please don't say cottonwood.
 
Nice...some nasty looking stuff right in the center...but looks like you made short work of it
 
Looks like Siberian Elm,pretty decent stuff.Dries in a year or less,much easier splitting than American/White or even Slippery/Red Elm.

I wondered the same thing. I guess that would make since because the trees were cut for a building project at the base of the foothills. The best part was having some big wood to cut up with my new saw. 9well big for these parts of the country anyway)
 
Big wood with no time consuming branches must be nice.
Makes for a nice looking picture perfect stack of wood.

I haven't had anything like that since I had wood dumped in the driveway by someone else.
