In my effort of trying to keep up with the "jone's" aka sav, zap etc... I finished splitting and stacking the main trunk. Big tree and I got approx 1 1/3 cords just from this pic of the trunk. That makes 3 years of wood in the shed and 9 cords split and stacked plus another huge pile that I'm working on.

As I was working I noticed the dogs guarding the wood pile, they know what keeps them warm! :)

Looks like a great pile of btu's, nice work. My FIL use to say about work around the camp, just do some work each day an you'll notice the difference, same with the wood.

zap

Well thats one wood pile I wouldn't steal from. Them dogs do know where the heat comes from. Nice pics. I never get tired of looking at wood splits.

Nice work wishlist. You can pass me and I will congratulate you.

Congrats on that huge beast. Bur Oak is awesome, about the same density sometimes a little bit more than its cousin White Oak.Not much of it where I usually cut, guessing about 5% total compared to Red/Black & White.

wishlist, dittos + congrats. just love the line about your daughter and wife knowing it all. gives me a chuckle everytime I see it.

Maxed out- its the truth! It was asked in a previous thread if they helped stack? No way, both wife and daughter are left handed and believe me EVERYTHING is a@s backwards!

Thistle- I have another larger bur to get. Should be some good wood.

Sav- no need to congratulate me, between you and zap it keeps me motivated. :)
