Heat pumps in PA are about as useful as wiping before going number 2. Our last house had one and after electric bills north of 400 we got a pellet stove. Our bill the following Feb was 52 dollars.

You are right John. We were going to wait and do the install in the Spring or Summer, but the $500 electric bill that we received moved our timeline up a few months. The worse thing about the $500 bill ? We weren't even staying warm.

put something down over the carpet in front of the stove when you clean it. Ash can be nasty to get out of carpet...
