So i have an opening in stove for the fire box shaker tool. Im missing a piece that holds it in place on the side of the stove to seal the hole/ rotate the ash grill.
How do I solve?

Thanks. Hmmm...what brand of coal stoker is that beast?
Can I assume that there was supposed to be a plug that the handle went in? And that the handle stayed in place when not in use?

yes. its a Waterford Shamrock. The company is now Waterford Stanley of Ireland. I sent them the same question. If nothing else just something to plug the hole , which is 1 1/8 inch. I have the manual but it doesn't have a part number

I'm thinking of using this for now.
1-1/8 in. Nickel Plated Steel Hole Plug
Maybe even consider drilling a hole in the plug and bolting a 1/4" carriage bolt sticking out an inch for a handle. Paint it all stove black.

They are the equivalent to h.com in the coal world. Your stove is a coal stove so they may have more info on it.
