I just recently acquired a Fisher Mama Bear wood stove (circa ???). I am not sure if it had fire bricks in it, or ever had them. I am not in front of it at the moment. Does it need to have fire bricks?

Thanks! I did check when I got home, and it does have fire bricks installed (and they seem to be sound, too).
