I have never had a 3 bag day and very few 2 bag days .
have the stove set to hold temp at 20 deg C and a bag
lasts 26 to 28 hrs with outside temps at -5c to -40 c
now if there is a wind of over 25 kph and temp of -40c
then its a 2 bag day

Not for meeeeeeee...... Oil is now primary, woodstove second, pellet last. I do run either stove simultaneously with oil, but with the oil prices (continuing to drop towards next fill), I'm conserving bags of pellet.

Eskimos used to consider a very cold night as a "three dog night" and I guess to a Pellet Pig it's a "three bag night"....I'm at about 3 bags/day right now and it's minus 10F.

Just a hair over a bag per stove right now. Just bumped the EP LFF off 1 to 2. 5* out and 74.6 in. Set on 4-9. PDVC LFF 1 and set on 4-9 in other half of house. 73.4 over there.

I'm on two bags but I just did a bunch of sealing up today of leaks I didn't even know I had. I kept feeling this draft in my studio room. When it got remodeled they didn't seal the molding along one entire outside wall and the wind was blowing right down to the floor and across to my back. Around the fireplace surround got a little work too since I had out the calking gun ( that was a known leak). Sealed a baseboard in the kitchen. I taped up a window. My dining room went from 73-74 up to 76 with that sealing taken place.. I'm turning the stove down. I may end up moving the probe tomorrow.. I've been threatening to move it to the dining room anyway.

My max in this house is a little over 3 bags with the drafts and no OAK when down around 0 or a little below ( no other heat running) and 35-40 MPH howling wind. So we shall see how this goes from here on into winter with OAK and added sealing up.. Incidentally the P61 is capable of chewing 5 - 5-1/2 bags for those interested, so it has never maxed out.. Mid winter I generally use two a day though for average weather.

14 and dropping outside, 76 and turning down the stove inside as I type... Happy !

Don't feel badly!! I burned 5 bags from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today. We had 0 degrees and a 30 to 40 mph wind all day and most of the night.

Dang- it was −17 here and I only burned 1.5 bags for a 2,800 sq ft house. You folks need to tighten up those homes!

Just over 2 a day for me the last two days. - 30 since the weekend. Stove is running maxed out about half the time, and 75% the rest of the time. Does keep 1300 sqft of my home a happy 70 on the main floor and 67 in the bedroom.

Oil is keeping the garage and two bedrooms at 45. Unfortunately I can hear the boiler cycle on once every 30 min in these temps.

Have been, that's what I posted. You are heating very economically, that's nice. I imagine you live in a modern house.

My stove from a 2 to a 3 is a huge difference in pellet consumption and heat, it will go from 65 on a 2 to over 80 degree's on a 3, not the jump i want as i'd be in the 2 bag a day, I can adjust my auger trim down but then running on a 2 will be too cold, of the 17+ yr's of buring my Whitfield I have rarely burned on a 3 out of 5

I'm at 2 bags/day the last couple of days - 3 & 4 degrees in the morning with highs in the teens (and one day was quite windy). Probably more with the higher wind and colder temps that are supposed to arrive this afternoon. And yes, I've been working on my house with more insulation and making it much tighter than it was last winter!

13 here this morning. Only the MVAE was on overnight, set to 70. House still stayed 66 with no use of heat pump, so very happy. Lit the little Whit at about 6:00 to get the basement office warm, which will get house to 70. Burning about 2.5 bags / day between both stoves, and now using Hamer's.

Had about 6 bags from last year with some water damage at the ends (stored in shed near door) so have been pouring them in a big decorative "tub" and picking out the damaged pellets while on conference calls (generally a more productive use of time). Will start on this year's Hamer's late today, so running behind forecast on pellet use YTD. All in all, sweet!
