This is my first trout of the year.
I am not a superstitious man, but if i was i would think this may be a good season to come.
Took the wife, kids and dogs out to the lake today. Finally a nice day here. Good times.

BTW, the fish was released unharmed. :p

Dang...looks to me like you're lucky the fish released you unharmed! !!!

Beautiful fish bfunk!

Why release a nice fish like that? I would have been BBQing it up right there on the boat! MMMMMmmmm!

No one in my house really likes trout.
Sometimes we will cook a few brookies when camping.
I will catch and clean a few for my Dad sometimes.

I am amazed at the lack of a tree or weed anywhere around that body of water. Completely opposite of my fishing areas.

But lots of water. Around here stuff grows like a giant chia pet. You could clear cut one week and poison the weeds to come back next week and have to do it again.

This area is a high desert 7100ft.
A few miles down the road is a place called Miracle Mile, featured in field and stream for its blue ribbon trout fishing.
Many pines in the area. Wyoming has a very diverse landscape, from mountains and trees to plains, prairies and deserts.

Nice fish Bfunk. Glad you had the time to spend with the fam.
