We've had a couple of chill chaser fires, in the evening to date. With a 7am temp of 37º I stoked up the stove this morning about 3/4's full and lit up a nice long burning fire. We got up to 47º for a high temp so no reload during the day. The stove is now at 200º but there are plenty of hot coals still left. It's 6pm now and I just reloaded in expectation of another chilly night. 11 hrs. is not bad for an 18 yr old stove partially loaded and burning softwood. The old gal has served us well.
