Hello
The first time I did this, I did not use weed block fabric and 4”x4” wood around the stones and bricks so I hope this will be better.
I will also sprinkle powered herbicide on the stones each year to kill and seeds that may float in.
Any other suggestions?
The bricks that will go in near to the camera are for the filter and the bricks you see in the pic are for the pool ladder. The height of the pool ladder bricks is even with the bottom of the pool. We were careful to mark the side of the pool and added stones to make the right height.
Under the weed block is some stone dust and some stones and dirt.

Also thinking of adding some “crusher run” under the bricks?

personally i would have used a playground gravel around the pool. Its nice and round and will not rub through the pool with a sharp edge.
