I've got two thirty degree elbows in a triple wall exterior chimney. Do they make a semi flexible chimney brush? I can take it apart, its just gonna be a pain.

Can you get access to both ends and use two people and pull the brush with a rope? You can also use a fiberglass rod like this one.

The fiberglass rods will make it around the elbows. I have two 30 degree elbows to offset my chimney and my rods go around the bends.

That's how I do it. Today, though, i've upgraded my high tech pull system from a rope to a 1/8" aircraft cable lanyard. Now I don't have to shut the stove down and let it cool off all the way to sweep. I figure i'll be able to do it with a coal bed. I'll find out for sure tonight.

3/4" PVC conduit is cheap ($2 for 10') and flexible. Just bring your brush and get the proper fittings for the buisiness end.

The PVC sounds great! Have you tried this?

Yup. Read about it here. Saved a bunch over buying "proper" rods. I think I spent @ $8 + brush.

Brian VT,
I have an insert (Lopi Declaration).....so, do you think with PVC I could feed through the doors, bend 90 degrees and go straight up my flex pipe? I have 35' to clean.

I dunno, but for $2 go buy a 10' piece and try to stuff it up there.
If it doesn't work you could make a blow dart gun with it (after you wash it, of course). :-)
