I have a 1886 house with solid brick walls. The inside of the brick is studded and spray foamed.
This is an external chimney. That is, the brick chimney is on the outside of three courses of brick.
So what we have is, external chimney, 3 courses of brick main structure, then 2x4 with drywall false wall on the inside.
I am wanting to connect a freestanding stove glue (6") through the studded wall, through the three courses of brick, to an appropriate liner in the outside chimney.
Is there a real good way to do this?

Is the above link my only option?
Thanks!
