I've recently built a small solid fuel stove for my sailboat and will soon be ready to install a flue pipe. I'd like to have a 3 inch diameter pipe but I'm worried it may be too small. My other option is 4 inch. The internal measurements are 7"wx7"hx9"deep. Thanks for any advice.

Welcome. There aren't many stove designers here to help you. This will require some testing for draft. Boats have short chimneys. Have you tested it with 3" pipe outside of the boat?
