With the burn season approaching, figured I’d clean up the room a bit. Used some garage floor paint I had laying around and organized my junk wood i use to start the fires and coal bins around. I added a short 3 foot wall to help section off the area, and threw up some old cardboard to keep from ripping up the walls. I plan on making a wood rack in the middle section there between the containers.
I also started looking into these wood bricks from kingdom biofuel. They are a decent price $230 a ton, and a lot closer then the nearest soft coal mine. What kind of burn times can you get with these things? I’m still working on full over night burns and waking up to a warm house.
I also planned on adding a barometric dampener. Any issues with running one of these on a mainly wood furnace?

Try the bricks...some people love 'em some hate 'em...a little learning curve to using them...not the same as wood or coal.
Many wood furnaces require a barometric damper...

I figure at that price I’ll give them a shot. Worst case scenario I have to mix it with my wood and it makes my wood go further.

My brother sells ECO bricks so I used to keep some around to mix in a load if it wasn't burning too well (wet) ...worked good but now all my wood is 3-4 years seasoned and I just don't use the bricks much anymore...still have too many packs of them here taking up space. Guess I need to put a CL ad up for 'em

Tractor supply has the eco bricks but they are around 400 a ton. The ones I’m looking at are 230. I have enough wood to get me through this winter I’m working on next years now. I’d like to not burn as much so I can get more then 1 year of seasoned time on it. I’m sure if you posted those up on cl or fb marketplace they would go quick.
