G7000 second thoughts

Hello All,
I recently purchased a G7000 that has not been in service. Started all of the work this April, but now having issues sourcing seasoned wood. I am having second thoughts and looking for a way out. I spoke to my dealer about possibly swapping the unit for the P7000, but that was a no-go. Does anyone know where I can resell my unit so that I can start over? I was originally looking at the Maxim 255PE, and now I'm kicking myself for not going in that direction.

it’s not uncommon for people to have trouble finding seasoned wood. You might want to look at compressed sawdust blocks. Think of them like giant pellets. If you put up wood to dry, you can burn the blocks until it actually is dry.

You can radically shorten the drying time for wood with a solar kiln. Depending on what species of wood you’re trying to dry and how much sun you get, you may be able to burn it by the end of winter. I know many can dry wood within a couple months using them. I’m not sure how that translates to fall and winter drying though.

Get enough wood for the next three years now and dry it yourself. Then each next year you'll only have to buy what you used that winter. That way you'll always be burning dry enough wood.

Keep the G series, just set it for burning wet wood, you'll be surprised, it'll do fine, especially if you are actually going to have a real load on it...if you were just wanting to heat your domestic water in the summer, then that green wood might cause issues.
But get stocked up on wood for the next 3 years now, each year it will run better n better, and be more efficient. Once you have your shed stocked up, you only have to replace one year at a time, and you'll always have dry wood.
