This was installed before I moved in here and I'm trying to fix the issue.
On windy days our house will fill with smoke, really bad to the point of having to put the fire out.
My limited understanding so far is that the chimney does not extend far enough above the roof lines to prevent bad backdrafts like this?
Is it as simple as adding an extension to the existing chimney and/or getting one of those expensive caps that are designed to prevent this or what else should I do?
Thanks
