There is a new YouTube video discussing GM's new battery pack plan and universal platform for their next generation of all-electric vehicles. It's actually fairly informative and touts the advantages of an innovative new wireless battery management system.

They are definitely planning for the future and investing deeply. I like the ideas of modularity and interchangeable packs. That should make upgrades much easier. The wireless battery management system sounds brilliant. That could be a real cost and weight saver. Wonder how they will shield it from outside interference and hacking?
