Yeah, I've seen that place for years - they are right near me. I suppose it is a VC distributor selling old stock or else a company that has a deal with VC to dump some product. The prices are vastly less than wholesale.

Craig, the ad said they lost there warehouse space and dont want to have to move all the stock. I dont know if that is true or not but the price is right.

Earlier they were selling the exact same stoves (Sevilles) for $899 Heat range wise they are about the same as the non cat or Cat Intrepid. This model stove was discontinued about 4 or 5 years back that does not mean they were bad stoves But VC already had The Intrepids that filled that heat range. They did not sell as many as they liked so VC dropped the line
Pretty hard to get an enamal new stove from a major manufacturer for $699. these are not whole house heaters but area heaters for spaces less that 100 sq ft in reality 800 or less.
Just thought you should know the facts before you purchase

Got a VC Resolute with a single burn (supposedly) in town for $500. I buy it, but the mortgage is due and no extras this month. Oh Well.
