Good day, if you feel the need to take it out, perhaps pulling the part that was previously taken off again? Why was the plate in the picture siliconed on/off in the first place?

The plate with the silicone sealant was like that when we purchased the home with this unused, brand new stove. I'm new to woodstoves and just assumed this was from the normal assembly process. I'm reluctant to remove that plate on account of the sealant.
