A friend cut down a hackberry tree and is giving it to me. How is this wood for burning?
 
it is middle of the pack,but still ok. also, it is some stringy stuff to split:(

If that is the same as what they call hard hack also heard it called tie hack,,it is awesome stuff. More btu than apple, make sure you cut to length when green..I save ours for below zero jan Feb..Can you put up a picture.
