Hi,
I have an interesting stove/fireplace in a home I've rented for 3 years now. I use it every winter however it desperately needs to be serviced and my landlord is as lost as me on it.
It's a wood burning stove covered by a pseudo fireplace box including doors..It has a Montgomery ward blower installed. It needs to be cleaned on the stove's outside and I'm SURE the fan is in dire need but I've never seen anything like it online and can't find a wood stove servicer willing to work on it? Any thoughts are VERY appreciated.

Why won't any sweeps work on it? Have you at least had the chimney cleaned?

The wood. On the right side is way to close and it doesn't look like there is enough floor protection on that side either. Can you take a pic showing the whole setup?

Possibly nobody wants the liability of telling you that it is ok to burn wood in there.

If you can post photos of the whole area and a closeup of the tag cleaned up so it's legible, we can help more.

Based on those photos, that is not safe to burn.
