The Auger Drive motor some times make a noise like a home bread maker mixing the flour. Is the motor going out or do they need grease? Can you take the gear box apart?

Welcome to the forum pinewood.

Yes, the gearcase can be opened up. Be careful of the gears inside and their placement. Scrape out as much old crusty grease as you can, replace gears, and pack the case full of regular wheel bearing grease.

BTW, how old is the stove?

Maybe five years old

Yep, if it's been used a lot, could very well be needing a re-pack. Don't forget to put a few drops of 3 in 1 (Blue can) or any non-detergent 20w oil on the actual motor shaft bearings too.

Are you suppose to take the gearboxes apart and repack them or oil the motors?

Does anyone have one for sale?

Both can be done, if nothing else is wrong with them like broken or stripped gear teeth.
