Our hot water heater was just replaced by our propane supplier. The original tank was propane fueled and was a larger unit with a space heater option which connected directly to my in floor radiant system. The heater developed a leak and was subsequently replaced today.
The new unit was also a larger tank with the space heater outlets/inlets but the installer decided not to connect the radiant directly to the space heater inlets on the side of the tank. Not sure why, but possibly due to the position of the tank and having to run the piping to the opposite end of the tank. I'm not an expert on inter connecting these systems so I'm asking the experts on this forum to see if the current set up is OK or should I be getting the company to come back and install it correctly?
Below is the hot water feed into the radiant system. As you can see it is tied into the mixing valve on the heater versus going to the "optional space heater" inlets on the side of the tank.

Here is the cold water return from the radiant.

Here is the side of the tank opposite the radiant system where the radiant would have been connected to on the previous tank (opposite side)

I'd appreciate if someone was to review the pictures and let me know if this is acceptable or not. The floor is heating up slowly but it's been turned off for three days now and it's heating a 1300 square foot concrete slab.
Thanks!
