I've burned a bunch of maple this week that's 7-8" long. They were the result of cutting the remnants of a giant maple stump. Just split and mix in your stacks placing 2 of them where one normal split would go.

Put them in the pickup. Take them to the river and toss them in, all 1,300 pounds.
This is not pollution, these are organic objects.
They will float, and a weary turtle may climb aboard for a rest.

These are/were chemical totes from the local farm chemical dealer. Free for the taking, I just had to get rid of the plastic tote. They burn easily.
