How many bags have you folks gone through so far this early in the season. Going through a bit of a brisk spell north of Boston and I just opened my 4th bag in total.

Two buckets in the last two days of corn. Hard to believe it was 89 last Sunday waking up to heavy frost Friday and Saturday.

3rd bag over the past 3 weeks.

Just opened bag #5

Just put in #8 this morning. Been burning since Oct. 1 off and on to take chill out of house.

I am guesstimating because I pour the bags in a container before I put them in the stove...I am going to say bag #4....but I have been burning on and off probably since the beginning of Oct.

Same herr started burning begining of Oct on and off for a few hours here and there

Somewhere between 8 and 10 I would guess. Hard to tell since the P61a holds 3 bags, and I've bought 4 bags of both Stove Chows and TSC so try out. Used al the SC's, a few bags of my regular stash and a couple of the TSC's.

Zero, none, nada... Filling up on oil tomorrow at $1.91 (have 2 tanks). Burning wood in the mean time.

We're on bag #11 here. It snowed for a few minutes here today. That's my excuse for burning every day for the last 2 weeks.

Test burn Friday and last 24 hours with company visiting this weekend. Couple of bags tops. Warming trend starting tomorrow so probably shut it down for the week and use oil to get the chill out of the house.

Just opened second bag and had some left from bag one in the stove.

Just added bag # 7 tonight 36 degrees outside snow showers this afternoon. Started stove October 2nd set on room temp it comes on when needed

Sitting at 29* here in Hillsboro right now @ 9:44pm. Supposed to drop down to about 25* by early morning. Have my P61A running @ stove temp 1, feed 2. Its keeping the house at 67* at its lowest setting. Sipping pellets super lightly with an auger cycle time of 16 seconds on, 44 off.

Probably 8 bags so far (Harman p68), but been keeping the house at 75-80°, just the way momma likes it. It will slow down when I fire the wood stove up. Furnace hasn't run yet. 28° yesterday morn.

About half way into bag 1. Today was my first day of burning. It's 36 out right now. Got the T stat on 68 and the room is 68 with the stove putting along on low.

just fired up this morning to take the chill off, hopper was just shy of half full from last year so i will let those burn up and shut it back down.

It was 20* when I left this morning shortly before 5. Still time to cool down a couple degrees before the sun comes up.

I may have to try that (the stove temp) with the P43 when it is time to take it off of room temp / auto light. I find when I put it in manual, the blower turns off most of the time it is idling - which means it isn't pushing the heat toward the bedrooms that are over the garage (obviously coldest rooms in house). Of course, it may do the same thing in stove temp, so I may end up setting up a fan in the hallway to help the heat go down to the rooms (no, pushing cold air out doesn't work - just brings more cold air up from the garage).
