How much? Who do I pay? To rid my life of these advertisements here?

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
System was supposed to grandfather anyone in at 9 years. Not working. I'll manually do it.

It's the volume increase of ads that's the issue. Newcomers shouldn't be punished with an assault of ads. A few are tolerable in the header and footer, but not when it makes it hard to concentrate and read through a thread.

I find some of these ads are interfering with the site's design. I can stand ads, I watch utube all the time...

Well im done. Love the site, but the pop-up add crap that won't go away and comes back every time I click on a post has ruined any hope of enjoying the site.
What platform do you view the site with?

You might have to resort to a pop up blocker addon to your browser. I had to do that once as there was a time the ads were really bad. Now they are there, but I can still enjoy the site. I'm using MS Edge on my Windows Computer.

I use my windows 10 computer, with chrome browser, and use ad block plus (it's free).
I get No adds on this site.
Don't know if i'm grandfathered in to get less adds as long time member here?

Could be your ad blocker, and/or that you are a supporter. If you don't get ads on other websites, then your blocker is on and working.

Yeah the ad blocker definitely blocks most all adds on most all sites. Have had it for years.

Just checked the ad block counter, it's over 143,000 adds blocked to date..
And i had to reload it a year or 2 ago so that reset the counter

I turned mine off after things got better on this site a few months ago. At one time it was so bad I couldn't use the site. I have it ready to go if needed.

The adds I get are at the footer and header and sometimes the entire screen, hit the done button and they disappear, not an issue for me. IPad mini.

I’ve always assumed that this site would be paid by the advertisers to advertise. I’m guessing I’m making a wrong assumption?

I use Windows 11 Home and the free version of adblock on chrome with no issues. I don't see any ads on this site at all.

I wish that when people complain about an issue, they would supply at least basic info.

What device they use; smartphone info, laptop or computer info
OS
Browser they're using etc.
What they've tried to resolve the issue

Adblock works on all platforms and devices
