Hi!
We just moved into a 60s era home that’s been modified a bit. Found out we have mice in the crawl space and have an exterminator who goes down there and sets traps. However, I am looking to seal all the little nooks and noticed there is a gap between the gas fireplace insert and the floor.
Can I caulk the gap with the 3M fire block sealant? Or does it need the opening for some reason?
Also, have a gap between the bricks and the side of the insert in one spot- can this use a clear silicone or does it need to be fire proof/ high temp capable?
Any help is much much appreciated!
