Hello

When the stove is going boy it is really stuck. After it cools down it is stuck but I can pop it free.

What is going on here?

Hello

Well, here is what I found.

The heat exchanger tubes have some buildup of ash. So I am wire brushing the tubes.

Also the cleaning rod itself is pitted and has some rust. So I took the wire brush on the drill to it.

See pics.
As you can see it has 2 rakes on the rod. One rake is forward and one is aft!

Would the rusty cleaning rod make it stick?

Hello

Well after smoothing down the cleaning rod and scraping the heat exchanger tubes real good it seems much better!
So since I had some matching Stove Bright "Charcoal" color matching paint, I really fixed it up!

See pics.
