HYGROMETER Recommendations.......

I want to purchase a hygrometer so I can monitor humidity when I start up my new wood stove this year (Price range up to $40.00). Would appreciate suggests on brand and model. Also, and comments on accuracy.

If humidity less than 30% in mid winter, then I will purchase a humidifier (again suggestions welcome..Want a evaporative type.)

I use a Davis weather station but I'm a little bit of a weather geek.

Davis models are nice. I want to upgrade my LaCrosse WS-2810U-IT to one. I have it connected to a netbook running WUHU to publish my weather data.

I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station that works pretty well for providing indoor and outdoor humidity.

As you can see in my signature, I have an Oregon Scientific weather station that works well for me. I monitor humidity outside, inside, garage, and crawl space. But like others, I am a bit of a weather geek as well. ;-P

Only way to go IMO. Everything else that's affordable is just as good as a guess.
