Wow, what a beautiful picture. Nice work WB.

Awesome shot. That's quite a light show. We're too warm for burning, so thanks for sharing the glow.

That is a great pic! Jotul uses top secondary burn tubes, right? I guess I won't get that show w/ my downdraft stove.
Is that "purple haze" typical of secondary burning?

I agree that is cool. different colors might be because of different oxygen levels around in the fire box. As for the purple haze i bet that was due to some mush rooms stuck to that hickory bark he tosed in there. %-P

I'm stuck on dumb jokes tonight. I hope I don't get kicked for that LOL.

LOL, I sinned tonite too. I was going to wait till the end of the month, but it got chilly out there. I lit a small fire with odd, and ends piece. Sry, no pics

I sinned also. I couldn't wait any longer, have had a fire the past 2 evenings.

Gentlemen.... Please... Don't be so hard on yourself!
Allow me to assume the burden of sin. For I had to fire up the oil furnace last night.
I do have 8 tons of pellets waiting, but no means of maximizing their heating potential yet...outside a pellet bonfire.
Hopefully a pellet boiler installation is forthcoming.
BTW... I absolutely love the Puget Sound area.

No, it's infrared overload of the camera sensor.
