So I had to sand don the inside of the PF100 as I didn't clean or close off the pipe after winter. I painted it with 2000 degree auto paint.

So, will this reduce any heat txfr?

You are ahead of me for the year. I did not even dump my bucket yet.
I did not cover the outside vent, and when I went to clean my vent, the outside
was yuckey and got stuck to the brush.
I did remove the fan and stuk a rag up into the vent after I removed the
thermo coupler. It is still not cleaned; but I thought of it today....
It is going to be 37 tonight....
Propane, still a lot left over from last year....
Well, anyways, I don't see how painting the inside can do anything except
cause a lot of burnt paint smell.... That was a major job. My inside is a little
tacky....It will burn off, and most likely smell.
Good luck with your burning season.
I got 7 ton from Home Depot in the spring, dellivered for 167.00 a ton.

I had rust this year. It took me a bit to clean and paint. I am ready, I can't wait to turn it on. I felt so comfortable in the pellet heat. This year I may clean it a little more inside as i hear 1/10th of an inch can reduce heat txfr. by 50%
