Thinking Maple but it is not like the soft Maple I processed last year.The dark heartwood measures 40% on my meter. The light wood right next to it measures 22%.

He does nail 'em pretty often, doesn't he? ;lol Once in a while somebody will throw him a curve ball, like something from a different region that he hasn't seen before...
