Improper flue collar installation?

First time pulling my woodstove insert shrouds since having it installed last year. I noticed the flue adapter is not sitting flush and only has 1 screw of the 3 installed. My main concern is if this is leaking. Im not sure if all the ash is residual from original flue or is new. Should I leave it be? Unscrew it and push it all the way in and screw it on all 3 holes? Or contact installer and complain? And is this typically sealed with high temp cement? Thanks

Looks like like that is a custom transition. What type of liner does this transition connect into?

I understand the concern. While I’m guessing that you are not getting significant amount of leakage there, it’s probably best to make it right. They probably could not do the 3 fasteners due to the tilt of the adapter. Like @begreen said, an offset adapter would solve this. In the short term, If there is a gap between the stove collar and adapter, you can try to push some flat (and small thickness) woodstove gasket material in that area. Not a long term thing but may help you sleep at night in the event that getting the proper offset adapter gets delayed.
My understanding is that high temp silicone or stove cement would NOT be used in that spot. With a decent install, it would not be needed and would fail quickly anyway.
