For 10 years I had no idea my in-laws had an old buck in their living room! Since I’ve been drooling over stoves for weeks now I was shocked to a Buck in their house!
This sucker is old but it will flat Run you out of the living room.

And eat wood as fast as you can throw it in there. They also do a great job of converting that wood into creosote

I noticed that about feed rates. Even before I became fascinated with wood stoves.. my father in law was feeding it ever few hours.

Yeah those old bucks are tanks. But really not designed very well. There were lots of stoves on the market at the time that were much better

One day I hope to get them a Buck 91 fully installed. They would be shocked at the difference I think.

Are you saying you haven't been in their living room for 10 years?;)

Ha! No worded wrong lol... I never even looked at the brand. I’ve been reading up on almost every manufacturer trying to decide on an insert. Buck,VC,Blaze King (I’m thinking a sirroco 25 is it tho)...

And now that I’m obsessed with it all.. I see Buck and I was like... huh.. never knew.[emoji1745]‍[emoji3603]

I get 5 hours of burn out of 5 splits. Doesn’t seem so bad to me. Heats 1200sf of first floor and can run you out. Also will keep 1200 sf of upstairs in upper 60s low 70s. For a old stove I think they’re great,
