The Pellet Stove Design Challenge, April 6-8, is open for registration and will be a great event for pellet stove experts, geeks, industry guys, etc. There will be a competition going on between the best 6 pellet stoves that are entered - and 3 days of workshops and presentations. Registration is $100. You can check out the stoves that are competing to be finalists here, the list of speakers, and the list of workshops and panels. It will be a bit technical, for not for the average pellet stove owner, but great for anyone who works in the sector or who just wants to geek out with others. Also a great place to get to know state and federal officials involved in regulating and incentivizing the technology. If you are an expert and want to be a presenter, please send us topic and bit about yourself and we may be able to add it. There will also be panels on wood stoves and several wood stoves will be running and being tested, but not part of the competition. We also plan to test some sophisticated 150-year-old antique stoves that some experts think will be more efficient than the average EPA certified wood stove. If this is up your alley, come join us in April.
