Looking for a decent IR gun. Do you guys have any favorites? Thanks

Make sure you check the max temp my first one only went to 750 dF. Cant ever over Fire if your IR gun doesn’t go high enough, right?

This is my new one. It’s rated to 1100 dF. It was within 5 degrees of my FLIR 200$ thermal camera at 300 dF. It was cheap.

Mine is from Thermoworks.

Have several products from them: industrial IR gun, WAND personal IR, dual probe BBQ, three Thermapens, small IR thermometer (freebie with the BBQ thermometer).

This one has served me well. goes over 1000 F and pretty affordable.
Etekcity Infrared Thermometer 774

Interestingly the title says "not for human". I wonder why. Lots of people buying IR guns these days for COVID screening.

Fluke for me.

May have to be a cleared medical device to label and promote it for human use.

ATD-701. It's worked well for me. No complaints.
