I cut up the base of an old pool table...rock maple. The finish is gone, but it's impossible to remove all of the bolts. I'd like to burn the legs in my wood stove, but thought I would ask the experts on this board if it is safe to do so. Any advice? Thanks.

If you feel like you got all of the finish off then you should be fine.

I wouldn't try it in a catalytic stove though.

Chances are there are still some traces of the finish on it so be careful not to Poison yourself or neighbors.
