well i finally sold my US stove company 5510 pellet stove... what a piece of junk. i was never happy with its performance. i heated my home 2 years with it, it never heater properly, it was loud, and constantly had problems with clinkers and air flow. piece of crap. it had moved it to the barn last year and it didnt do an acceptable job there either. im thinking about buying this wonderlux from tractor supply http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/united-states-stove-wonderluxe-wood-coal-stove
i would burn coal in it and it would be heating my barn. im happy with my harman P61 in my home and i also MIGHT consider a harman coal stove, but there are allot more money. will this $750 tractor supply coal stove do an acceptable job in a 900 sq foot barn with no insulation? or is everything that US stove company makes pretty much junk. coal stoves dont have any moving parts so im guessing that they might make a better coal stove. coal is readily avaliable at the local hearth store so that's not an issue. i might also consider a harman mark I, but $1,800 is allot of money to spend to heat a barn.
also what are the options in direct, powerflow venting. they dont recommend then at the hearth shop but this is not a dwelling that im living in simply a place i go to work on my tractor and my cars. i do not want to invest in a class A chimney.
