Just spoke with the supplier and it is Hedge. He warned me not to burn to much at one time
That is hedge bark on top of hedge wood. No doubt.
I felt I had to spell it out in no uncertain words. I guess I could have drawn a picture. LOL

We have fence posts over 100 years old that are hedge and harder than rocks.That's a fine example of midwest osage orange, aka hedge. I only burn one split at a time mixed with other types, because it burns hot. You can let it sit in your wood pile for 50 years if you want. It's indestructible.
