I have a bottom feed Martin Venturia stove and the auger is jammed up with what looks to be compacted fines.
Any pointers on how to get it unjammed without removing the auger?

Thanks,
Trobb

With the stove off and cold using a metal coat hanger as a means of breaking up the fines and a good strong vacuum you might be able to work it all loose.

Like pellets that crumble when wet, perhaps several drops of warm water would uncompact the mass and make loosening it easier.

Thankfully is was only about 3 inches into the auger tube.
Quick fix with a small wood chisel.
Back up and burning:)
