I lit my jotul 3 for the first time this season. the pilot lit properly, and when the thermopile heated up the main flame came on via the thermostat. when the main flame extinguished, I noticed that the pilot was more yellow than blue and very weak. after a couple of minutes the pilot went out, I assume because the weak flame wasn't heating the thermocouple.
I let it cool down for a few minutes, and then re-lit the pilot. it is the right color and flame size, and has stayed on now as it should.
what should I check?
thanks!

You probably have a very small foreign object in the pilot line.
The best way to clear it is to disassemble the line from the valve
& the pilot assembly & blow compressed air through it.
